The MMS Connect Talk component provides interactive support group communications. Participants can join self-help and support groups from the comfort of their own home, using a touch-tone phone. Multiple discussion groups can be created to serve a number of purposes: support, informational, task-oriented. With MMS Connect Talk, individuals can introduce new discussion topics or participate in existing ones.

MMS CONNECT TALK FUCTIONALITY

MMS Connect Talk is like a computer bulletin board - people call the system and record their message. Or listen to messages left by others and contribute their remarks at the end of the message or section. Discussion participants are alerted to any new posting. And MMS Connect Talk can automatically erase inactive discussion topics.

MMS CONNECT TALK ADVANTAGES

Face-to-face self-help groups are an extremely valuable part of the health care system and are widely available. But they don't always convene at opportune times. And they don't always maintain a participant's confidentiality. MMS Connect Talk is more convenient and confidential.
Electronic bulletin boards are widely used and available. But their use is restricted to those who have a computer and a modem, and they are also very impersonal. MMS Connect Talk is more user-friendly. All that's needed is a touch-tone phone.

Access to an on-line operator by pressing a key.
Automatic conversation management. Old messages or inactive topics are automatically deleted.
Automatically alerts participants when new messages have been added to a topic.
